A museum dedicated to Omar Mukhtar and the Armed Struggle is to be built in Benghazi, the minister of culture announced yesterday, Sunday.
Habib Mohammed Al-Amin was visiting a number of cultural facilities in the Slouk Dmanalahd district of the city. The Libyan news agency LANA reported that the minister was accompanied by the writer, Mohamed Msallati, who is the chairman the Supreme Committee Project of Benghazi the Libyan Capital of Culture for the year 2013, as well as the Director of the Regional Planning and Projects Office and a number of Benghazi’s culture activists.
The new Armed Struggle museum will be on an extensive area near the Sheikh Omar Mukhtar monument in Slouk and will also include a Quran Study Centre. [/restrict]
