In his welcoming remarks, Indian Ambassador Anil Trigunayat pointed out that India is the world’s largest democracy and one of the largest growing economies. In turn it welcomes the newest democracy in the world: Libya.

“We salute Libya for setting an example for others by carrying out exemplary elections”, the ambassador said.

“From the beginning we offered our help in 2011 and we continue to do so. We are going to set up a camp and workshop for artificial limbs, “The Indian-Libyan Artificial Limbs Centre”, at a cost of half-a-million dollars.”

“Equally in November we signed an MOU with the HNEC on cooperation in elections. India is a partner for development and progress with Libya”. [/restrict]
