Tripoli, 30 December:
The head of the Gharyan Local Council resigned from his post at the end of last week after other . . .[restrict]members of the council passed a vote of no confidence in him, Libyan news agency LANA reported.
Wanis Imhadhab, head of the council, was subject to the motion of no confidence, after he allegedly passed measures and took decisions without the consent of all council members.
He has been replaced by his deputy, Jamal Al-Amin, who will fill the role temporarily, until the council can hold elections for a new head.
