Tripoli, 6 September:
Electricity supplies were restored to Tripoli international airport yesterday afternoon, having been cut off in the early hours of . . .[restrict]the morning.
The malfunction led to a number of flights being delayed and travellers stranded for several hours.
An official at the National Electricity Company’s information office, Lutfi Ghouma said that the power-cut occurred at 3am on Wednesday owing to technical malfunction of airport supply circuit.
He said that his technical staff had been able to fix the fault, with power being restored at around 1pm. [/restrict]
