Police in Tocra yesterday, Monday, demonstrated in front of the police station. They claimed they were being ignored by . . .[restrict]the state.
Police station chief Mohamed Aguri stated that the police station would remain closed until the protestors’ demands had been met. He said that police station had 235 policemen but it did not have any weapons or communication equipment. It had just three vehicles but policemen had to pay for fuel themselves.
He also said that the police station had been almost burned down and was unusable.
The authorities had been notified, he claimed, but had done nothing. [/restrict]
