Tripoli, 14 September:
Clashes broke out on this morning, Friday, in the centre of Sebha between Tebus and members of the . . .[restrict]Awlad Suleiman, a local Arab tribe.
According to Tebu sources in the town, two Tebus were killed. Officials, however, say no one was hurt.
The Tebus claim the fighting started when Awlad Sulaiman fighters of killed one of their men. Officials say that the dead man was an Arab.
The situation was reported by evening to be quiet following the intervention of tribal elders.
In March, 147 people were killed and 395 injured in the city in clashes between Tebu and Arab residents. [/restrict]
