Sebha, June 5:
Member of the local 17 February Union staged a protest today in front of Sebha’s local council offices objecting . . .[restrict]to the nominations of a number of candidates for the upcoming elections to the National Conference to draw up a constitution. The union comprises local people who fought in last year’s revolution.
The protestors also demanded that they be paid the revolutionaries’ grant given by the NTC which they claimed had not so far been given to them. They threatened to use military force in case their demands were not met by the government.
This is not the first protest they have organised.
