Misrata, 19 June:
A state-of-the-art fertility clinic was opened by the minister of health, Dr Fatima Hamroush, in Misrata on Sunday, the . . .[restrict]first such facility to open its doors in the city since the end of last year’s revolution.
The minister and her accompanying delegation also held a meeting with members of the Misrata Local Council, along with members of the commissions of the wounded. Dr Hamroush delivered a speech in which she expressed her gladness at being in Misrata, a city which she said “had shown great solidarity and courage” during last year’s conflict. She also took the opportunity to emphasise the importance of caring properly for the war-wounded and the need to bring in foreign doctors with various expertise.
Dr Hamroush also made a visit to a health centre specialising in the treatment of gastrointestinal and liver diseases. The centre additionally provides services in dermatology, dentistry and urology, with the minister being given a demonstration of the centre’s capabilities and the services it provides for the local community.
