Tripoli, 6 May:
Local council elections in Derj, east of Ghadames, started on Saturday.
A number of the tribes residing the area such . . .[restrict]as Tuareg, Rujban and Zintan, have registered in the five registration centers available in the area. A source stated to Tadamun News Press that about 700 people had registered including Tuareg who had come from Ghadames as refugees.
The actual town has a population of around 1,000 but it takes in a much wider area. [/restrict]
