Tripoli, April 9
The five Tunisians captured by Libyans on Saturday afternoon were released late on Sunday.
The five, allegedly fuel smugglers, were . . .[restrict]freed following negotiations between Zawia Military Council and Tunisian border guard officials.
They were reportedly seized, inside Libyan territory.
The seizure led to attacks on Libyan vehicles in Tunisia, on the road to the border, and led to the Tunisian authorities closing the Ras Jedir crossing point.
The Tunisian foreign ministry had earlier called on Libya to “spare no effort” to secure the five men’s release.
