Tripoli, April 4
On Wednesday night it has been retorted that three young people went to one of the . . .[restrict]car showrooms on 11 June Street to buy a medium range price car but during discussions with the showroom owner, an argument broke-out. The young men then left the showroom in a state of anger, swearing and threatening the showroom owner.
After about two hours, the three are said to have returned along with at least twenty others, all armed, and they physically assaulted the showroom and drove away all the cars in the showroom as well as the cars registration documents. The showroom owner was taken to hospital in critical condition.
All this reportedly happened despite the fact that at the time of the incident there was a police patrol vehicle within several meters from the site.
No-one intervened or tried and protect the owner and the showroom. [/restrict]
