Tripoli, 14 January 2014:
Gunmen in a vehicle fired some 20 light rounds at the GNC chamber this afternoon, . . .[restrict]shattering some windows, as members were discussing a vote of no-confidence in prime minister Ali Zeidan.
The Libya Herald understands that GNC security hurried members out of the chamber. It is believed that the attackers mounted their assault from outside the GNC security perimeter. It is not clear if the gunmen were caught. Shortly afterwards the area in and around the GNC compound was described as “calm”. [/restrict]
