Tripoli, 9 November 2013:
An officer in Benghazi’s municipal guard was shot dead last night, just two hours after a military ‘show of force’ in the city.
Al-Sherief Al-Agaili was shot at around 8pm when he was walking in Benghazi’s Suq Al-Badri district, near the Airport Road, spokesperson for the Benghazi Joint Security Room (BJSR) Abdullah Zaidi told the Libya Herald.
He said the killing could have been in response to the military parade, adding: “These people don’t want Libya to build an army.”
