Benghazi, 10 May 2013:
There were further attacks on police stations in Benghazi today. Bombs went off outside the police . . .[restrict]station in the downtown Baladiyya area, in Jamal Street, and at the Ras Abeida station some five minutes away.
Both occurred just before dawn prayers, within two or three minutes of each other, in what was obviously a coordinated attack.
One man, a local resident, was slightly injured in the Baladiyya explosion.
Eight days ago, the police station in the city’s Birkah district was left a ruin after the second bomb attack in just under a week. That attack is said to have been carried out by common criminal gangs rather than by any political group.
No one has claimed responsibility for today’s attack.
