Cypriot doctors arrive

Tripoli, 19 June:

A team of 14 specialist doctors from Cyprus arrived in Tripoli on Sunday to provide urgent medical services to . . .[restrict]Libyans.

There are three neurosurgeons, a spinal specialist, seven orthopedic surgeons, two general surgeons and a jaw specilialist.

Another 11 doctors with different specialties are to join them along with medical equipment.

The decision to send the medical team follows the visit to Tripoli at the end of April by Cypriot Minister of Health Stavros Malas along with the country’s foreign minister, Erato Kozakou-Marcoullis and Neoklis Sylikiotis, Cypriot Minister of Commerce, Industry, Tourism and Energy.
