Last week ten boycotters arrived in Tobruk to take part in the vote on the first proposed government by the Presidency Council, including Misratan member Mohamed Raeid who was then abducted and held for four days by a local family who wanted two of its members held in Misrata on drugs charges to be freed. In the event, the ten were unable to join the debate because their plane arrived late and were not sworn in in time for the debate.

Today’s members have made sure they got to Tobruk ahead of schedule. It is reported, however, that some existing HoR members tried to object to them being sworn in.

The HoR is still awaiting the new list of government members from the Presidency Council, which continued its meeting in Skhirat throughout the day today. Its debate on the new government is scheduled from tomorrow, Monday. [/restrict]
