The bodies of five people have been found in an unmarked grave in the Bomsafr forest . . .[restrict]west of Derna.
At the moment it is not known how long ago the five died or how they died, although the fact that they are buried together in an unmarked grave suggests they had been killed. The bodies are in an advanced state of decomposition.
According to a spokesman for the local LNA operations room, the Red Crescent has removed them and DNA samples taken for testing.
Last year the Bomsafr forest was used by Ansar Al-Sharia and then by Islamic State forces as a training and operations area. [/restrict]
