Since the end of hostilities on the 22nd October 2011 the Libyan people have been able to enjoy peace and freedom in their . . .[restrict]own country.
Many important issues have and are being addressed with valuable support from the international community.
A major area that is in need of urgent attention is the Ecological situation in the country. Many years of mis-management have resulted in areas where spillage and pollution is a major concern.
EcoLibya e.V. has been formed with the support of all political and other groupings to address this serious situation and to promote activities to remediate the current situation.
The main Libyan personalities involved are:
- Captain Ali Spak Al-Hassi (Coordinator of marine relations at the TNC. Former commodore of Benghazi and Derna seaport);
- Judge Jamal Bennor (Chief of Benghazi local council, National Transitional Council justice coordinator);
- Jamal Farag Eloushaibi (MA law and BA / coordinator of Libyan businessmens union);
- Dr Said Abdulaati (former Libyan Ambassador to Germany);
- Salem Saleh (Brega National Committee).
As a non-profit organisation we welcome support from interested parties to support us with donations (both financially and the provision of equipment) to assist us to provide a safe and healthy environment for Libya’s future generations.
Financial contributions can be made on either a one time, yearly recurring or monthly recurring basis.
We will be holding regular events to which our partners will be invited, where updates and planned activities will be presented, as well as an annual gala evening, attended by both National and International leaders, where we will honour our supporters and friends.
A website is currently being constructed and we hope to have it online within the next few weeks.
By supporting EcoLibya you will be providing direct assistance to the people who need it most, and be able to experience at first hand the results of our projects, actually seeing the results and having direct contact to the people you have helped.
