Three scholarships are being offered to . . .[restrict]cultural heritage students in Libya, Egypt and Iraq to enhance their studies with a one-year course in Italy.
The scholarship programmes, in ‘Analysis, Conservation and Development of Archaeological Heritage,’ will be taught at three Italian institutions: the Libera Università di Lingue e Comunicazione (IULM), the University of Milan and the Kore University of Enna.
The three ‘Massimo Pallottino’ awards are aimed at promoting the exploration and exploitation of the distinctive archaeological features of Libya, Egypt and Iraq in the context of the wider Euro-Mediterranean region.
The scholarships, which will give each student a one-year €20,000 grant, are also geared towards providing talented students with the opportunity of overseas study.
The awards are being funded by the Association for the Italian National Commission for UNESCO.
The closing date for applications is 20 September 2013.
