Lufthansa Ramadan campaign offers free tickets to unite families

By Hadi Fornaji.

Tripoli, 3 July 2013:

Lufthansa is offering ten . . .[restrict]people nominated in Libya free tickets to fly home and be reunited with their families. The Ramadan campaign, which started on 25 June, runs until the end of Eid Al Fitr. During that time, people in Libya can nominate anyone they know through www.lufthansaramadan2013.com at anytime during the campaign period. Lufthansa will provide the ten nominees with the most votes free tickets home. Once the nominated person agrees to being part of the initiative, voting then begins.

It ends on 9 August at 21:59, Libya time.

The campaign is not limited to Libyans. Anyone living in Libya can nominate someone.

Nor does it matter where home is. It could be in Libya, elsewhere in Africa, Europe or anywhere in the world where the Lufthansa group flies – it has over 280 destinations in more than 100 countries. The distance is unlimited. The criterion is that the destination is the winner’s home and where the family is located.

“The world is connected and it should be a simple thing to travel from one destination to another. But sometimes, for people who are overseas it’s not always so easy,” said Antonio Tassone, Lufthansa General Manager Libya.

“At Lufthansa, we believe everyone should be able to spend time with the people they love, and we can help make the world a smaller, happier place. That’s why this Ramadan, Lufthansa is taking the initiative to encourage people to see and do something good for others.”

The ten people with the highest number of votes will be given Lufthansa tickets to travel home. The top three will fly Business Class while the remaining seven will travel Economy Class. [/restrict]
