Tripoli, 5 February 2013:
A Paris conference organised for next week by the French government, will bring a Libyan delegation together with . . .[restrict]ministers from states that backed the revolution, to focus on security, justice and the rule of law in the country.
The French government was this evening, Tuesday, not providing a final list of participants. However Britain, Qatar, the UAE and the United States are known to be attending, along with Turkey, the European Union, the United Nations and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
A French official has been quoted as saying that this conference was “long overdue”. Libya’s security remained inadequate, he said, adding that the aim of the meeting was “ to help Libya be true to the principles of the revolution”. [/restrict]
