The Libyan Embassy in Syria reported yesterday that Walid Ammar, Head of Mission at the Libyan Embassy in Syrian, met with Qutaiba Badawi, Head of the Syrian General Authority for Ports and Customs, at the Authority’s headquarters in Damascus. Samir Al-Shalabi, Chargé d’Affaires of the Syrian Embassy in Tripoli, was also present.
The Libyan Embassy reported that during the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the areas of customs operations and facilitating trade and maritime transport, to support common interests and develop economic relations between the two sides.
Syrian media reported that the two discussed reactivating cargo and transport maritime transport between the two countries
Both sides emphasized the importance of continued coordination and exchange of expertise serving the interests of the two peoples.
