LBC Eastern Branch holds Benghazi Forum

LBC leading delegation to Miami for America’s Food and Beverage Show – 18 to 20 September

‎The Libyan Business Council (LBC) Eastern Branch held its Forum in Benghazi yesterday. The forum hosted extensive economic works with the participation of several businessmen and investors, and in the presence of several Egyptian companies, including some major Egyptian real estate development companies.

The ‎‎forum came under the slogan “Leadership – Partnership – Sustainability”, as a pivotal step within the efforts of the Libyan Businessmen Council to consolidate economic institutional work and update its tools, and bring together a group of officials, financial experts and decision-makers to draw the features of a new phase of integration between the various components of the private sector.‎

This comes within the framework of enhancing economic cooperation and exchanging investment experiences between Libya and Egypt.‎

‎In his speech during the forum, the Chairman of the LBC in the Eastern Province, Fahmi Al-Jahmi, stressed that the forum comes in the context of supporting and enhancing the business environment in the Eastern Province and directing economic possibilities towards effective partnerships that contribute to achieving development.

He stressed that the forum does not represent just an economic meeting but is an affirmation of the importance of building bridges of dialogue between the public and private sectors, adding that economic advancement can only be achieved through the integration of efforts and support for small, medium the large-scale enterprises.‎

Al-Jahmi pointed out that the LBC, in cooperation with its partners, seeks to open a branch in the municipality of Benghazi to be a new incubator that provides economic services that benefit the country, and to come up with practical recommendations that can be implemented.‎

‎Real estate opportunities available in the Egyptian market discussed
The forum discussed the real estate opportunities available in the Egyptian market, the prospects of economic partnership and international cooperation, in addition to developing the investment and commercial environment in a way that contributes to supporting sustainable development paths. ‎
