The Serbian embassy in Tripoli will begin issuing visas ‘‘in the coming months’’.
The news was reported by Zliten Chamber of Commerce yesterday after hosting Serbia’s Ambassador to Libya Dragan Todorović.
If realised, this will take pressure off the other European embassies such as the Italian, Maltese, Spanish, Greek etc, who are currently issuing visas from Tripoli and suffer from long waiting times for visa appointments.
Serbia is not part of the EU but has started the process of joining. It is also not a Schengen visa country.
