“Reality and Challenges in Fisheries, Grain Production, and Supply Chains” workshop held in Tripoli by NESDB

NESDB discusses food security and social protection with World Food Programme

As part of its efforts to enhance food security and address current challenges, the National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB) organized a workshop last Sunday, (28 September) entitled: “Reality and Challenges in Fisheries, Grain Production, and Supply Chains”.

The workshop was held at the NESDB’s Tripoli headquarters, attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and Trade, and representatives from ministries, government institutions, organizations, and international missions in Libya.

Several experts, academics, and civil society representatives also participated in the event.

The workshop addressed several topics, most notably:

  • Activating partnerships between various sectors to ensure sustainable production and achieve balance in the national market.

The NESDB reported that the meeting comes within the framework of its commitment to opening spaces for discussion and exchange of views on priority development issues.
