The Tripoli based government reported today that it had held a video conference meeting on the same day between the head of the Executive Team for the Prime Minister’s Initiatives and Strategic Projects, Mustafa Al-Mana, and the World Bank’s Resident Representative, Henriette von Kaltenborn-Stachau.‎

‎The meeting focused on following up on the implementation of the terms of the cooperation agreement signed between the government and the World Bank last April, and reviewing the agenda of the World Bank’s annual meetings scheduled for next October in Washington in the presence of the Government of National Unity.‎

‎Reopening of the World Bank’s headquarters in Tripoli
The meeting also discussed the arrangements for the reopening of the World Bank’s headquarters in Tripoli, in light of the positive assessment of the security and real estate conditions by the World Bank’s teams.‎

‎Incentivising foreign companies to invest in Libya via B-READY programme
The discussion also included the executive programme to incentivize foreign companies to invest in Libya according to the B-READY programme, as well as the Prime Minister’s plan to qualify the World Bank’s youth cadres in the fields of economy and public finance.‎
