Misrata Free Zone (MFZ) announced yesterday that Qatari shipping company Milaha launched its first maritime voyage to Libya through the Misrata Free Zone Port with the docking of its vessel “Al-Bid’a” at the port.
MFZ said Milaha is one of the largest and most diversified maritime and logistics companies in the Middle East.
Milaha’s launch of its voyages from the MFZ Port is part of its expansion plan in North Africa, highlighting and reflecting the attractiveness of MFZ as a pivotal logistics centre in the Mediterranean Basin, MFZ said.
MFZ said Milaha’s addition to the list of international shipping lines operating at its port confirms the status and importance of the MFZ on the regional maritime transport map. This, it added, is thanks to its strategic location, advanced infrastructure and digital services, simplified customs services, stimulating investment environment, and superior logistics services.
