‎Tamoil reported a loss of 22.172 million euros for the fiscal year 2022 according to a report by Fatturato Italia, a website specialized in corporate budgets, statistics and financial data.

Tamoil is wholly owned by Oilinvest, registered in the Netherlands, which in turn is owned by the Libyan Investment Authority (LIA).

The report showed that Tamoil’s current deficit contrasts with its total income, estimated at 6.395 billion euros for the year 2022. This constitutes an increase of 44% compared to 2021. The losses constituted a negative growth of 155% compared to the year 2021.

The company is registered under a tax number 00698550159 and the expenses of individuals and workers for the year 2022 amounted to more than 29 million euros. The company covers 8% of the Italian energy market, according to the report.‎

Libya Herald reached out to Tamoil/Oilinvest for a comment on the Fatturato Italia report, but the company failed to respond.
