After an 11-year hiatus, Sebha airport is to resume international flights, according to Sebha airport Director Al-Tahir Al-Bousaifi, quoted by several Libyan media outlets.

Al-Bousaifi is quoted as saying that his airport had addressed the shortcomings that an audit team from the Egyptian Aviation Authority had highlighted after visiting the airport and reviewing it.

The first international flight will launch in mid-November via EgyptAir, with one to two flights per week, he said.
