The Turkish Embassy in Tripoli and the Turkish Defence Ministry announced yesterday the departure of 850 tons of humanitarian aid to Libya on board the ship TCG BAYRAKTAR setting off from Izmir Alsancak.
The Turkish Embassy in Tripoli reported that there would have been 4 aircraft and 5 ships of various search and rescue, medical personnel and humanitarian aid delivered to Libya to help with the post Storm Daniel disaster that hit eastern Libya on 10/11 September.
The humanitarian aid is under the coordination of the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD).
