The Renewable Energy Authority of Libya (REAoL) reported yesterday that its Director of Projects Department, accompanied by the technical team of Total Energies and Dana Survey Works Company, carried out initial surveying work last Thursday at the Sadada 500 MW solar project site.

The surveying work was part of a field visit to the site where a reference point was identified close to the site determining the points of the project site in preparation for the actual start of the implementation of the project.

Part of a strategic plan
Commenting on the field trip and survey work, the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) said this comes within the framework of cooperation between the GECOL and the REAoL to implement the strategic plan to integrate electrical capacities produced from renewable energy sources into the public electricity network.
