The Libyan British Business Council (LBBC) announced a wide range of business activities for 2023, including a visit to Benghazi.

Speaking to Libya Herald, LBBC Chairman Peter Millett said “We had a very successful year in 2022, organising many valuable activities for our members, including the first business delegation to Tripoli for almost 10 years.

Looking ahead to 2023, we have an exciting agenda of activities including further visits to Libya, both to Tripoli and Benghazi.  Our aim is to help British and Libyan companies meet, establish strong links and do business for the benefit of both countries.”

The LBBC says it is unique among British trade associations in its experience, expertise and network of contacts in both countries.  Its mission is solely focussed on trade: to promote, facilitate and improve business relations between the United Kingdom and Libya.  With over 120 members, it says it provides unique opportunities for companies to identify and build on business opportunities.  Membership covers many different sectors including banking, oil and gas, security, consultancies and education.

This year’s activities will include webinars and workshops to inform companies about how to do business in Libya, networking events including the annual summer reception in London and trade missions to both Tripoli and Benghazi.  The LBBC will also provide its members with updates on the economic situation and commercial opportunities in Libya and other services to help and grow high-value relations with individuals and organisations.
