Libyan and Moroccan Chambers agree to increase bilateral trade

London, 29 November 2020:

The heads of the Libyan and Moroccan Chambers of Commerce agreed to encourage the development of bilateral trade.

The agreement was reached during a meeting between the Chairman of the General Union of Libyan Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture Mohamed Raeid and his Moroccan counterpart Omar Moro in Tangier, Morocco.

The agreement came on the back of the meeting of Libyan parliamentarians (the House of Representatives) in the city of Tangiers. The head of the General Union of Libyan Chambers of Commerce, Mohamed Raeid is a member of the Libyan parliament.

In a statement, the Moroccan Chamber stressed its urgency in rebuilding the strong and long-standing economic relations that bring the two countries together, and that it is seeking to create modern communication opportunities and encourage initiatives aimed at developing trade between economic actors in Morocco and Libya.
