The Libyan Business Council (LBC) revealed today that the Libyan-Indonesian Business Forum was held on the same day at the 41st edition of Trade Expo Indonesia 2026, hosted at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) centre in Jakarta.
The forum was organized through the coordination and cooperation of the Libyan-Indonesian Business Council and the Indonesian Embassy in Libya. It saw active participation from the Sirte Chamber of Commerce, the representative office of the Libyan Businessmen Council in Sirte, and a delegation from the Libyan private sector.
Cooperation Agreement signed
A cooperation agreement was signed between the Libyan-Indonesian Business Council and its Indonesian-Libyan counterpart. The agreement was signed by the heads of both councils, under the patronage and in the presence of the Libyan Ambassador to Indonesia and the Chargé d'affaires of the Indonesian Embassy in Libya—accompanied the Libyan business delegation on their trip to Jakarta.
The forum featured numerous B2B meetings between business owners and company representatives from both nations, focusing on commercial cooperation opportunities, potential partnerships, and direct engagement between Libyan firms and Indonesian manufacturers and suppliers.
The LBC said these meetings served to expand relations between the two business sectors and strengthen cooperation between the Libyan Businessmen Council and the Indonesian side—facilitated by the joint business councils—while establishing channels to follow up on the opportunities discussed and develop them into concrete, practical partnerships.
