Fathi Al-Amin Al-Turki, Chairman of the Misrata Chamber of Commerce, the Vice Chairman, a Board Member and the Director of the Department of Foreign Relations and International Cooperation, received Ms. Ma Li, Secretary General of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce for Petroleum Industries today at the Chamber's Misrata headquarters.

Interest in the Libyan market
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance economic and investment cooperation. Representatives of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce expressed their interest in the Libyan market and their desire to support Chinese companies investing in Libya, establishing factories and industrial projects, and cooperating in the oil and petrochemical industries, solar and renewable energy, and transferring industrial expertise and technologies.

Implementing industrial solar energy projects
The two sides also discussed opportunities for implementing industrial solar energy projects to serve the private and industrial sectors in Misrata, given the city's strategic industrial and commercial location, which enhances partnership and investment opportunities between them.

The Misrata Chamber of Commerce affirmed its full readiness to provide all necessary facilities to businesspeople and companies wishing to invest and to work to overcome obstacles to serious partnerships, thereby contributing to supporting economic and investment activity in Libya.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to maintain communication and coordination and to work on organizing bilateral meetings between Libyan and Chinese businesspeople to explore opportunities for cooperation and partnership and to implement investment and industrial projects in Libya.
