Libya’s Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO) reported yesterday that member of its Management Committee, Mustafa Al-Dinali, met with a high-level delegation from BP.
AGOCO said this comes as part of a series of periodic meetings and technical discussions it holds to strengthen international partnerships, advance operational activities, and develop oil field infrastructure and technology.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Engineering and Construction, Technical Affairs, and Tenders committees, as well as the Production, Reservoir, Industrial Security, and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) departments.
The session served to follow up on coordination steps agreed upon in previous meetings, aiming to translate ambitious plans into tangible results, AGOCO added.
Participants engaged in extensive discussions regarding mechanisms to enhance cooperation in geological and geophysical studies. They focused on intensifying the analysis of precise technical data—a move designed to directly contribute to developing the company’s fields, increasing production efficiency, and achieving targets for higher oil flow rates.
AGOCO said the meeting represents a vital link in the ongoing efforts led by the National Oil Corporation (NOC) and AGOCO alongside their strategic partners. These efforts primarily aim to leverage cutting-edge global expertise and technologies to support exploration and development operations, thereby ensuring the optimal and sustainable use of national oil resources in accordance with the highest technical standards.
