The Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Masoud Suleiman, met last Wednesday (28 January) with the leadership of the American company Baker Hughes on the sidelines of the American company’s 26th Baker Hughes Annual Meeting, held in Florence, Italy (28-30 January).
The Tripoli based Libyan government reported that the two sides discussed:
– Strengthening cooperation between the National Oil Corporation and Baker Hughes
– Discussing participation in projects to increase production capacity and support a sustainable national economy.
– Focusing on increasing local content to enhance job opportunities and develop national industries.
– Introducing modern drilling and production technologies to improve the efficiency of oil operations.
– Developing training and qualification programmes for national personnel to keep pace with advanced global developments.
