The National Development Agency (NDA) signed an MoU yesterday with FarmTech, Valley Valmont, and New Holland Agriculture to supply and deploy 1,000 centre pivot irrigation systems across the southern region of Libya. It will be recalled that the project was discussed in a December 2025 meeting in Benghazi between the NDA and FarmTech.
The agreement marks a significant step toward enhancing agricultural productivity, strengthening food security, and supporting sustainable development in Libya’s desert and semi-arid zones.
Under the MoU, the partners will collaborate to deliver advanced irrigation technology and agricultural equipment aligned with national development priorities. This strategic initiative reflects the NDA’s commitment to modernizing Libya’s agricultural sector through international partnerships and large-scale, high-impact projects.
