Turkish Airlines to start flights with Misrata on 16 November and to increase flights with Mitiga, Benina and Misrata airports

Transport Ministry meets Japanese company North Star interested in investing in Libya

The Tripoli based Libyan Minister of Transport, Mohamed Al-Shahoubi, has reported that the Ministry of Transport and the Civil Aviation Authority have communicated with the Turkish Civil Aviation Authority regarding increasing the number of Turkish Airlines flights to Libyan airports.

Al-Shahoubi explained that Turkish Airlines has confirmed operating a daily flight to Misrata Airport starting on 16 November, in addition to increasing the number of flights from Mitiga, Benina, and Misrata airports.

He also indicated that a team from the Turkish Civil Aviation Authority and Turkish Airlines will soon visit Sebha Airport to discuss the security and commercial requirements necessary for operating flights there in the future.
