The Tripoli based Libyan government reported yesterday that the Libyan frigate Al-Hani arrived at the Abu Sitta Naval Base in Tripoli after completing maintenance and technical overhaul work in Malta since 2023.
The frigate was received by the Chief of Staff of the Naval Forces and several officers and officials from the Ministry of Defence.
The government said this step comes as part of the Ministry’s and the General Staff’s plan to rehabilitate and retrieve naval vessels, aircraft, and military equipment located abroad, and to enhance the readiness of the forces by developing infrastructure and providing logistical support within the country.
