The Tripoli based Libyan General Authority for Communications and Informatics announced yesterday the suspension of all the activities of China’s Huawei in Libya for violating national and international laws and for safeguarding the protection of national security.
The General Authority said Huawei violated national and international laws, entering into illegal contracts with illegal entities inside the country, which is considered a breach of Libyan national security, and violating national laws and legislations (Law 22/2010) that authorize the General Authority alone to issue licenses and permits in this sector.
