The Ministry of Labour and Rehabilitation announced today that its Libyan Korean Training and Development Centre is preparing to launch the “Eco-Friendly Economic Workshop”.
The Ministry says the workshop is the first of its kind in North Africa and is a pioneering step towards a more sustainable future.
Sustainability
The workshop aims to promote the concepts of sustainability and reduce environmental impact, to be a centre for the production and promotion of environmentally friendly products, and to encourage sustainable practices in various sectors.
Training programmes on Green Economy to be launched
After the arrival of advanced equipment and machinery to the centre, and the completion of the preparation of specialised training curricula, a set of distinguished training programmes in vital fields related to the green economy will be launched after Eid.
These programmes include waste recycling, scrap cutting, design and construction of environmentally friendly buildings, in addition to detecting environmental pollution in the atmosphere, and applying occupational health and safety standards.
The Ministry says this workshop comes within the framework of the National Green Economy Project, adopted by it, through which it seeks to achieve sustainable development, preserve the environment, and provide new job opportunities in green sectors.
