The Benghazi Chamber of Commerce reported today that a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Russian Businessmen Association and the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Libya, to ‘‘enhance cooperation and open new investment horizons’’.
The MoU was signed at today’s Libyan Russian Economic Forum in Benghazi.
The Benghazi Chamber said the MoU was signed under the supervision of the (eastern based) Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The Benghazi Chamber reported that the forum brought together a group of Libyan and Russian businessmen, as well as representatives of major companies and institutions, where they discussed investment opportunities, enhancing economic cooperation, and supporting the public and private sectors.
It said the event was also attended by representatives from the (eastern based) Ministry of Economy, the Privatisation and Investment Board, the Ministry of Technical Education, and the Russian Businessmen Association.
