Tripoli based Libyan Prime Minister, Abdel Hamid Aldabaiba, approved the National Strategy for Performance Control, Anti-Corruption and Prevention for the period 2025-2030 at a launch event in Tripoli today. The President of the Administrative Control Authority Abdullah Gaderbouh and the President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, were present at the launch event held on the occasion of the commemoration of Internation Anti-Corruption Day.

Confronting corruption and achieving social justice
In his speech, Aldabaiba stressed that the signing of the protocol represents a fundamental step towards confronting corruption and achieving social justice. He pointed out that his government’s entire procedures are subject to comprehensive control by all regulatory bodies, whether pre-, accompanying or after (usually by the Audit Bureau), with the aim of ensuring transparency and managing public funds according to the highest standards.

Aldabaiba also added that protecting public funds and combating corruption are the top priorities of the government, because of their direct impact on the stability of state institutions and the promotion of sustainable development.

The event included a review of the axes of the national strategy and its implementation mechanisms, including improving the efficiency of regulatory bodies and unifying their efforts to promote good governance and combat corruption at all levels.

‎The strategy seeks to achieve a number of objectives, most notably strengthening transparency and accountability systems in government institutions, developing supervisory performance, reducing administrative and financial abuses, and protecting public funds to ensure sustainable development.‎

It will be recalled that at a separate event, Aldabaiba had adopted the National Food Security Strategy for 2025-2035 during a launch ceremony yesterday.
