The International Forum & Exhibition for Free Zones – Misrata: 28 to 29 June at Misrata Free Zone

A delegation from Misrata Free Zone (MFZ) visited the Belgian port of Antwerp, the largest port in Europe, MFZ reported yesterday.

Stefan Cassimon, Director of the Port of Antwerp, received the MFZ directors of the departments of technical affairs, investment and services.

The two parties discussed enhancing opportunities for cooperation and integration between the two ports to facilitate trade, exchange of goods and services, training, transfer of expertise and knowledge, in addition to providing studies and consultations.

It is noteworthy that in November last year, a memorandum of understanding was signed between MFZ and the Port of Antwerp on the sidelines of the North Africa International Conference and Exhibition for Ports and Free Zones (November 2023). During this, experts from the Port of Antwerp visited MFZ to review and evaluate the Smart Gate Systems and the entry and exit movements at the MFZ Port.
