REAoL meets British embassy to discuss increased cooperation in the field

‎The Renewable Energy Authority of Libya (REAoL) announced yesterday that it had held a meeting on the same day at its Tripoli headquarters with the British Embassy in Tripoli represented by Chargé d’Affaires, Catherine Wilde, and the Commercial and Investment Counsellor.

Increased cooperation in the renewables sector
The meeting, which included REAoL chairman Abdul Salam Al-Ansari, discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Libya and the United Kingdom in the field of renewable energies and energy efficiency and the possibility of inviting British companies specialized in the field of renewable energies to invest in Libya and participate in the implementation of the national strategy for renewable energies and energy efficiency.‎

The meeting also touched on benefiting from the extensive capabilities and experiences of British companies in the field of renewable energies and the implementation of projects in solar and wind energy.‎ The areas of training, capacity building, exchange of experiences, and holding joint specialized workshops and conferences between the two sides, were also discussed.‎

Signing of an MoU
During the meeting, REAoL reported, the Chargé d’Affaires expressed her country’s desire to strengthen bilateral cooperation through the signing of a cooperation agreement between the United Kingdom and Libya.‎
