The Department of Support and Development of Medical Services (DSDMS) reported last Wednesday (12 June) that the Al-Hadba Al-Khadra General Hospital started its first ever lung and rib cage surgeries inside its main operating room.
The DSDMS reported that six successful operations were performed, all by national medical cadres affiliated with the DSDMS in cooperation with the hospital’s cadres.
The DSDMS said it continues to support and sponsor such operations in various hospitals and public health centres throughout the country as part of the Tripoli Libyan government’s project to localise health treatment within Libya.
This localisation saves citizens and the state hundreds of millions on money spent abroad – money that enables the treatment of tens or hundreds more locally.
