Libya’s state National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced Sunday that the technical teams of the Nafusa Oil Operations Company began operating the main oil line for the North Hamada field on Saturday.

The oil line will transport the field’s production to the port of Mellitah via the El Feel field line.

The NOC reported that the line began to be filled gradually at a rate of 2,000 barrels per day until reaching 25,000 barrels per day, after which pumping began in the direction of the Mellitah complex.

After opening the connection valve with the Elephant line, at a rate of 4,500 barrels per day, it will increase by placing production wells successively to reach 10,000 barrels per day in September 2024.

It explained that this is the first stage programme for field development.
