The Department of Support and Development of Medical Services (DSDMS) reported yesterday that 320 successful cardiac catheterization operations between therapeutic and diagnostic procedures were conducted inside the Al-Hadba Al-Khadra General Hospital.
These operations are continuing and are conducted in cooperation with the hospital’s national medical staff and under the supervision of the DSDMS.
The DSDMS reports that these operations have been conducted since the start of the treatment localisation project by targeting adult, children and newborn heart patients.
The saving to the state and citizen through localising healthcare
Previously, a number of these operations would have had to be conducted abroad paid for by hard currency at a great expense and inconvenience to both the state, if they were state subsidised, or to the individual Libyan citizen.
