Court convicts former health officials for one year for obtaining illegal benefits in LD 4.6 million supplies contract

The Attorney General’s Office announced Thursday that the Tripoli Criminal Court issued a ruling convicting former officials (the Financial Affairs official; former Director of the Office of Internal Audit and the Assistant Controller) in the Ministry of Health.

This came after the Deputy Public Prosecutor, in the Public Prosecutor’s Office, examined the results of examining administrative and financial documents related to the supply of medical equipment and supplies for the benefit of the health sector in the municipality of Al-Reyayna.

It was revealed to the investigator that former employees abused their job authorities for the purpose of obtaining illegal material benefits for others, by deliberately accepting official documents that contradicted the truth indicating the receipt of medical equipment and supplies worth LD 4.6 million.
